Analytical Determination and Influence Analysis of Stiffness Matrix of Ball Bearing under Different Load Conditions

Bearing stiffness, as one of the most important service characteristics for ball bearing, plays a crucial role in bearing design and rotor dynamic analysis. To rapidly accurately calculate stiffness matrix under arbitrary load conditions, 5-DOF analytical model analysis has been established by ball–raceway contact analysis, implicit/explicit differential method, operations. The validated comparing with previous methods experimental results. Based on this, used to investigate influences operation structural parameters variation bearing. results show that property increasing axial preload can inhibit attenuation speed-varying states between balls raceways also have significant influence change bearings. Besides, larger curvature coefficient inner raceway small outer effectively improve at high speed. Therefore, proposed method be useful tool optimize performance system various conditions.
